Thank you for taking the time to learn about why we’re passionate about helping animals! This is our first post to the world and we’re very happy you’re here!

These are only some of the animals in our care at the moment. The total of how many reptiles, cats, dogs ,fish ,amphibians and other critters that have been through our homes over the years? We’ve lost count!

Over the last several years, we have crossed paths with animals who have needed a home for one reason or another. The ones that have caught our attention the most are the neglected ones, the ones who were sick and needed immediate attention and rehabilitation. The amount of inaccurate information that the Big Box stores give out is so harmful to these pets. These pets are taken home and neglected and then are given away when they’re sick and dying… an unfortunate fate that many animals are met with.

That’s where Ray’s Animal Planet steps in! If we are able, we arrange pick up with the owner surrendering their critter to us. With any luck, they’re local to us in south Houston; We’ve driven as far as over an hour to pick up a surrendered animal if the circumstances were dire. Our goal is to provide support to pet owners, whether that be by taking in someone’s sick pet or by helping them learn about the appropriate care for their pet’s need. The latter is most ideal, but when the former is absolutely necessary, we help out.

With your support, we can aid more animals in need of our TLC!

We know we can’t save them all, but what’s that saying? “Saving one dog will not change the world, but surely for that one dog, the world will change forever.” Truer words were never spoken here at Ray’s Animal Planet!
