Ms. Pickles the Pacman Frog is a Ray’s Animal Planet ambassador who gets her name from her pickle chip like colors! Pacman frogs are known for their ferocious appetites and are sit and wait predators. They bury themselves in the dirt, calmly waiting for their next meal to come along so they can pounce!
Mister A-Neal came to us as a surrender from a family who’s had him since he was a baby. They just didn’t have time for him , he’s about 4 years old and living his best life ✨
This is Esperanza, a Herman’s tortoise that was being neglected and only fed once a week 😓Since come to Ray’s Animal Planet , she hasn’t missed a meal and is thriving!
This is Bruno, he was surrendered because he became a burden to his family. We understand that life happens and sometimes families just can’t take proper care of their pets. That’s where we step in to help them find a proper home for their pets 🙏🏽❤️
Ariel the bearded dragon was surrendered to Ray’s with severe MBD, affecting her health and limbs. She had a tank mate, (Extremely unsafe) who dominated over her and caused ever present stress. Ariel was only fed pellets by her previous owners and with some TLC and patience, now takes bugs and eats daily greens! She’s our fighter!
Pluto the Blue Tongue Skink is a Ray’s Animal Planet Ambassador! He’s a ground dwelling species who loves his hides and the occasional pinkie mouse! Skinks are primarily from Australia as well as Indonesia 🇮🇩
This is Otis , the MBU pufferfish 🐡 He was brought to Ray’s from a great local fish shop, Aqua Zoo in Clear Lake City. They needed a proper home with an adequate sized tank and he was perfect for our 210 gallon fish tank! He enjoys snacking on hand-fed snails!
Sunshine the Uromastyx came to Ray’s after his previous owner needed to move out of state. Also called Spiny-Tailed Lizards, Uromastyx are herbivores from the hot climates of Africa and Asia. Sunshine enjoys basking on rocks in his desert enclosure and occasional fruity treats!
Timmy the sugar glider was surrendered to Ray’s in a tiny bird cage. He was ecstatic to move into his sugar glider condo where he enjoys his insectivore diet and fruits. This precious species is active at night, so Timmy spends his days asleep in his cubbies and awaiting the evening when he comes out to play!
